Storage and uploads

  • Video storage How much video you can keep at once, counted by the size of the files you upload. Streaming copies we create for playback do not count toward it.
  • New uploads per month How much new video you can upload each billing month. Your first month allows the full storage, so you can move your library in right away. Annual plans get six times the storage for the whole year up front.
  • Extra storage (+250 GB) Need more room without changing plans? Add 250 GB blocks at any time; they renew with your plan.
  • Any video format, up to 5 TB per file Upload MP4, MOV, ProRes, MXF, MKV and other common formats straight from your editor. Large uploads resume after a lost connection, so a dropped Wi-Fi does not mean starting over.
  • Adaptive 4K streaming We prepare streaming versions up to 4K that adjust to each viewer’s connection: full quality on fast Wi-Fi, a smooth lower quality on a phone. Viewers press play without downloading anything.
  • Exact original kept Your uploaded file is stored byte for byte, never recompressed. Upload a ProRes master and you can download the same ProRes master years later.
  • No bandwidth fees Plans are priced by storage. You never pay extra because a client watched a film many times or shared it with family.

Client delivery

  • Branded delivery pages One polished page per project with your logo, a cover, a message to the client and all the videos in order. It feels like a finished product, not a file-sharing link.
  • Multiple delivery pages per project Send one film to several recipients without uploading it again — each page gets its own link, password, expiry, language and view and download stats. Revoking one page leaves the others untouched.
  • Password protection Lock a delivery with a password. Until it is entered, the page shows only your logo and name, not the project title or videos.
  • Email access and named analytics Viewers confirm their email with a one-time code before the page opens. Allow anyone who confirms or only an invite list, and see exactly who watched and downloaded. Available on: Pro, Studio
  • Dynamic watermark A faint watermark with the viewer’s email or your own text drifts across the player, so screen recordings and leaks can be traced back. Ideal for festival screeners and pre-release cuts. Available on: Studio
  • Expiry dates Set a date when a delivery link stops working on its own — handy for screeners, review copies and limited-time access.
  • Instant revoke Turn a delivery link off in one click; it stops working immediately. Publish again and the same link comes back.
  • Original downloads Let clients download the exact file you uploaded, not a compressed web copy. You decide per delivery whether downloads are allowed.
  • Download notifications Get an email when a client downloads files from a delivery, so you know the handoff actually happened.
  • First-open alerts Get an email the first time your client opens a delivery, so you know they have seen it without asking. Link previews in messengers are not counted.
  • Expiry reminders Three days before a delivery link expires, you get an email so you can extend it or remind the client to download their files.
  • Delivery defaults Set your usual download permission, password rule, link expiry and message once. Every new delivery starts from them.
  • Share buttons and QR code Send a delivery by email or WhatsApp in one tap, or download a QR code to print on a card or show on screen at the event.
  • Link previews in messengers Delivery and watch links show a title and image in WhatsApp, Slack, iMessage and other apps. Password-protected deliveries show only your name, never the project.
  • Custom delivery links Replace the random link with a readable one like /d/smith-wedding — easier to say on a call and to trust in an email. Available on: Pro, Studio
  • Delivery page language Choose the language of each delivery separately — shoot in Italy, deliver in Italian, while your dashboard stays in English. English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.

Sharing and embeds

  • Private watch links Share a single video with a long, unguessable link. Watch pages are hidden from search engines.
  • Ad-free player No ads, no recommended videos, no third-party logos. Viewers see your work and nothing that pulls them away from it.
  • Resume where you left off Viewers who close a long video and come back later continue from the same moment on the same device.
  • Call to action and end screen Add a button like “Book a call” or “Buy tickets” to the player, and an end screen with your message when the video finishes. Works on watch pages, embeds and delivery pages. Available on: Pro, Studio
  • Embed code builder Copy a responsive embed code and choose how the player behaves: autoplay without sound, loop, hidden controls or a start time.
  • Embeddable playlist Put a whole delivery page on your website as a playlist widget: the player plus a clickable list of videos that plays through in order. Great for portfolios and course pages. Available on: Pro, Studio
  • Lightbox and email embeds Show a thumbnail that opens a pop-up player on your site, or paste a clickable thumbnail into an email that opens the video page.
  • Domain-restricted embeds Allow your player only on your own websites — up to 25 domains. Copied embed codes will not play anywhere else.
  • Country restrictions Allow viewing only in chosen countries, or block specific countries — useful for distribution rights, festival screeners and regional releases. Available on: Studio
  • Subtitles and captions Upload SRT or WebVTT files in any language. Viewers switch tracks in the player — useful for accessibility, other languages and watching without sound.
  • Chapters and links to a moment Split long films, lectures and interviews into chapters. Viewers see them on the timeline and as a clickable list, and can copy a link that starts the video at any chapter. Paste “0:00 Title” lines or import a WebVTT file.

Branding

  • Your logo, colors and fonts Delivery and watch pages use your logo, colors, typography, cover style and a light or dark player, so clients see your studio, not ours.
  • Hide “Powered by VodSpot” Remove the small VodSpot footer from delivery pages for a fully white-label handoff. Available on: Pro, Studio

Does VodSpot have a public video feed?

No. There are no channels, search pages or recommendations. A video is only reachable through the private link or embed you publish.

Can clients download the original file?

Yes, when you enable downloads on a delivery. They receive the exact file you uploaded while the page itself streams an optimized version.

Does VodSpot include review and approval tools?

No. VodSpot focuses on private hosting and the final handoff — presentation, access, downloads and delivery history. It is not a frame-by-frame review tool.
